The Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA) is pleased to announce that Michelle Gonzales-Bryant, CVPM, has been installed as president of the association. Gonzales-Bryant assumed the presidency at the VHMA’s 2019 Annual Meeting and Conference in Glendale, AZ.  She succeeds Jim Nash who served for two years and currently occupies the position of immediate past president.

Gonzales-Bryant is a corporate regional operations director for VCA, an operator of more than 900 animal hospitals in the U.S. and Canada. She began her veterinary career more than 27 years ago, working as a kennel attendant, receptionist, veterinary assistant, surgery technician and hospital manager.

Gonzales-Bryant has been a VHMA member since 2006 and has held several positions on the VHMA Board of Directors, most recently as treasurer.

“VHMA is fortunate to have Michelle at the helm. She is a proven leader with a wealth of experience who is interested in sharing her expertise with other managers and helping them grow professionally. She is also passionate about the association and has been a proactive, innovative and inspiring member of the VHMA Board of Directors for years,” said VHMA Executive Director Christine Shupe.

Gonzales-Bryant earned the prestigious Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) designation---which is offered through the VHMA---in 2010.

She and her husband reside in Gilbert, AZ. They recently adopted their two young daughters in October 2018. She and her husband are also pet parents to three pit bulls.
