VHMA Manager to Manager
The Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA), an association dedicated to enhancing and supporting veterinary management professionals through education, certification, resources, and networking, announced today that is has launched a monthly podcast series, VHMA Manager to Manager. The podcasts tackle the universal issues that keep managers up at night and feature practice managers and administrators discussing protocols and strategies that have yielded effective results.

The series is hosted by Debbie Hill, CVPM, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, a hospital administrator specializing in human resources, financing, business operations, and marketing. In the first episode, Hill and Susan Driever, a practice owner and manager in the Houston area, discuss Team Morale in Turbulent Times, providing solid advice on navigating the team through the uncertainties and challenges fueled by the pandemic. The coronavirus outbreak has impacted mental health, fueled health worries, escalated financial anxieties, and exacerbated family issues, all of which are contributing to an unprecedented situation in the workplace, which managers must confront to stabilize practices and calm staff.

Future podcasts will spotlight current issues that managers are battling and will offer advice and support for skillfully addressing them.

Sponsorship for the 2020 series is provided by VitusVet.
