How do you VHMA? No, you are not reading a typo, but a rather important question: How do YOU VHMA?
The way you choose to utilize your VHMA membership is truly unique and rarely the same as another VHMA member. That’s what makes membership in VHMA so valuable. Some members VHMA by monitoring or participating in the daily discussion threads and others VHMA by utilizing the sample documents donated by their colleagues or by attending monthly educational webinars.
For me, I VHMA by attending educational conferences. Almost more important than the educational lectures, I find the opportunity to network with other managers who share the same management problems I have incredibly indispensable. I get to pick the brains of managers more experienced for solutions that help me solve our practice problems more efficiently. What an incredible asset to have available to me!
So, let me ask you again, how do YOU VHMA? If the answer comes into your head loud and clear, I encourage you to share it with others. Help spread that word about the benefits of “VHMAing.”
I bring this up right now because we are less than two months from our Annual Meeting and Conference in Philadelphia, PA. Of course I am planning to attend and hoping to see you there. We are looking forward to an especially great conference this year. Our Program Committee responded to member feedback and has expanded the number of programs available. I am extremely proud of what our member volunteers have accomplished this year. It is truly a testament to the value they get from “VHMAing.”
