As my term as President comes to an end, I want to thank the VHMA members for the opportunity to serve in this capacity. It has been a valuable experience both personally and professionally. VHMA is a well-respected and highly-regarded association, and it has been such an honor just to be a part of a leadership team that continues to strive to be on the cutting edge of the profession. VHMA’s reputation is enhanced by the many practice management professionals who contribute their time and expertise to advancing the association and the industry. I have been fortunate to have worked closely with such quality board and committee members and appreciate all they’ve done for VHMA during my term. The VHMA’s accomplishments over the past two years have been impressive, and it was truly a team effort. There have been so many noteworthy moments, as I write this last message; we look forward to some first-time new accomplishments – a sold out Annual Conference, and our first live-streamed conference sessions. I truly believe this is the result of listening to the members input, focusing on their needs first, and providing a quality product.
There are so many more outstanding products and services planned for 2014 and beyond. I look forward to continuing to support the VHMA leadership, and in particularly our incoming President Jon Cunnington, MBA, CVPM as he continues to chart the association’s future path. Jon has served on the VHMA Board since 2007, his business training and expertise in practice management have made him the outstanding leader his is today, the association could not be in more capable hands.
Again, thank you to the VHMA membership for allowing me the opportunity to serve, I walk away with memories and friendships that I will forever cherish.
