Mentor: The Next Generation of Mentoring

VHMA Mentoring

Mentoring is one of the essential services VHMA provides. It is a vital part of career and leadership development and is perhaps the best method of transferring knowledge that has been gained through experience. VHMA appreciates your interest in the mentoring program and is excited to announce that the Association is entering the next generation of mentoring, made possible through MemberConnect, an efficient and effective approach to connecting with others in the industry on the topics that are most relevant to your practice.

This new model of mentoring allows VHMA members to access information in real time because MemberConnect is the members-only hub for asking, answering and interacting. This vibrant and interactive community allows members to engage with a dynamic, online group of veterinary management professionals whose experience and insights contribute to the richness of the discussion. MemberConnect has been designed to give users more tools and provide immediate access to assistance as you work through pertinent practice issues.

We encourage you to take advantage of the networking and knowledge exchange available through MemberConnect and to use this opportunity to begin a dialogue with peers and colleagues to enhance your professional development. We invite you to participate in this next generation of mentoring to experience the ease and comfort of the approach.

One-on-one mentors are still available if you prefer to establish a personal relationship with a VHMA colleague. The following list of members have volunteered to serve as mentor. A member profile link is provided so that you can find a mentor that best fits your needs. You may use the profile detail to contact the mentor directly. Even though this is a personal relationship, we expect that all VHMA members will conduct themselves in accordance with the VHMA Code of Conduct and adhere to the VHMA Code of Ethics.
