Oops, Whoops and Oh Nos. Medical Errors at the Veterinary Hospital
Medical errors and mistakes are a significant problem in healthcare, leading to a significant number of deaths in the United States. Surprisingly, these errors are often overlooked or not properly addressed in veterinary settings. This presentation aims to shed light on this issue by utilizing recent events and a real-life case study to analyze the occurrence of medical errors in a clinical setting. The focus will be on understanding the causes of these errors and examining the reactions of veterinary personnel when they happen. By highlighting the importance of addressing and learning from these mistakes, this presentation seeks to improve patient safety and overall veterinary care.
