VHMA Education Map

Fall Conference and Annual Business Meeting

Held each year in the fall, this conference features nationally prominent speakers who present the latest theories in practice management. Opportunities for networking and discussions continue during roundtable forums. Exhibitors display booths of special interest to veterinary hospital management. More information »

Management Exchange

Held in the spring, this conference is a smaller workshop with a mix of subject matter expert presentations and peer presentations by VHMA members in attendance. Participants have the opportunity to share their experiences during informal discussions where there is an opportunity for brainstorming and in-depth discussions throughout the weekend. VHMA offers regular educational webinars focused on timely management topics. Webinars are typically held monthly and are free for VHMA members. More information »

Live-Chat Discussions

Live-Chat Discussions are informal educational events offered to expand opportunities for members to connect, network, and learn from one another in a peer-to-peer environment on one specific topic at a time. Via the Live-Chat community, members can choose to participate in scheduled Live-Chat Discussion events. Members can participate in the discussion by posting directly on the VHMA MemberConnect website or by sending posts through email or the mobile app. More information »

Benchmark Surveys

The Insider’s Insight Benchmark Report tracks key economic indicators to determine how VHMA member practices are performing, as well as results from VHMA surveys on issues impacting the profession. There are over 600 VHMA member practices who contribute to the data for the key economic indicators. Data is representative of companion animal practices only.

Certification

Certified Veterinary Practice Managers

VHMA certifies managers who earn the designation Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM). The process includes a comprehensive application, a written examination of multiple-choice questions and a commitment to ongoing education. More information »
