Roundtable Discussions are among the most flexible and informal educational formats offered by VHMA. Roundtable Discussions allow for extended discussion among a small cohort of professional colleagues. Roundtable Discussions are excellent venues for giving and receiving targeted feedback, engaging in in-depth discussions, and meeting colleagues with similar interests. These events are indented to create an opportunity for peer-to-peer discussion among a group of colleagues currently active in day-to-day hospital management.
To facilitate Roundtable Discussions, attendees will be broken up into groups of 10-15 individuals per breakout room. Pre-determined topics are assigned. A moderator is assigned to each room. Discussion is time-limited (based on the total number of attendees and topics) and may range from 15 to 30 minutes per topic.
Participants must turn on their camera to participate.
A Zoom account is required, a free licensed version will work.
Roundtable Discussions offer limited participation and will not be recorded.
1 hour of continuing education will be awarded.
Discussion topics for this event includes:
- Goal Setting: how it's done; what role do people take on;
how do you make sure the goals don't get lost in the day-to-day and how are they communicated
- Open mic
Registration is limited to VHMA members only.
