Program Overview

VHMA is pleased to announce a partnership with Alera Veterinary to offer a Benefits Administration course! Managing and administering employee benefit plans in today's complex environment requires extensive knowledge and skills. Employee benefits are a significant part of total compensation and play a crucial role in attracting and retaining talent. Proper benefits administration can enhance employee satisfaction, reduce turnover, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 

Join your peers for this virtual course to learn, network, and gain valuable insights on managing your practice’s health insurance and employee benefit plans. A total of 2.5 continuing education credit hours are available to participants. Attendance is taken at each live session. The total hours awarded are reflective of the live sessions attended.

Continuing education hours awarded for this program can be applied to the CVPM program's continuing education requirement.

Although attendance is not mandatory, participation in all of the sessions ensures that participants get the most from the program. Sessions will be recorded. Recordings will be accessible to program participants after each session. Continuing education credit is not awarded for viewing recorded sessions.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made in writing up to one hour before the program starts will be fully refunded. Cancellations made later are not eligible for a refund.

Will be available after class so you can review the material and exercises.

Instructor

Cory Friedman
Cory Friedman is a licensed health insurance broker and chartered benefits consultant (CBC). Cory leads the veterinary practice for Alera Group, a national insurance brokerage and benefits consulting firm. Cory and his team are responsible for the health insurance and benefit programs of more animal hospitals than any other broker nationwide. Cory has been recognized as an Excellence in Benefits honoree in 2021 by Insurance Business America, is a two-time Rising Star award recipient from Employee Benefit Adviser magazine and was selected to the industry’s Hot 100 list by Insurance Business America in 2024.
