WEBINAR: Core Values Aren't Wall Decor-They're Decision Tools
Thursday, June 11, 2026
1:00 to 2:00 p.m. ET
Most organizations have a set of core values. Far fewer use them as living, working tools.
Core values are meant to do more than decorate a website or appear on a poster—they should actively guide behavior, shape culture, and simplify decision-making. However, that only happens when values are clear, specific, and genuinely aligned with how your organization operates on a day-to-day basis. In this webinar, participants will explore core values as actionable commitments, not vague or aspirational statements. You'll learn how to translate values into everyday expectations, strengthen alignment across teams, and assess whether your current values still support your organization's mission as it grows and evolves.
Whether you're building your values from the ground up or revisiting ones you've had for years, this session will provide a practical framework to help you:
- Define and refine core values that reflect who you are—and who you aim to become
- Translate values into observable behaviors and shared language that your team can use consistently
- Integrate values into key systems such as hiring, onboarding, leadership development, and accountability
- Recognize when values are outdated or misaligned—and identify meaningful steps to realign and reinforce them
Participants will leave with tools and strategies they can immediately apply to make core values a daily decision support system—and a powerful driver of culture.
Guest Speaker:
Amy Brauns, RVT, CVPM
Amy began her journey in veterinary medicine at Everhart Animal Hospital at just 18 years old, starting as a Customer Service Representative. Over the years, she worked her way up through various roles, including Kennel Assistant, Veterinary Assistant, and eventually became the second Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in practice. After graduating, she returned to her roots at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) as an adjunct faculty member for their Veterinary Technology program, helping to shape the next generation of veterinary professionals. As their team expanded from a single small practice to three thriving locations, her role evolved as well. She was promoted to Supervisor, then tasked with the exciting challenge of building and managing our second location as its Practice Manager. Realizing the importance of strong leadership, she pursued and earned my Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) credential, further solidifying her commitment to the field. In 2022, she embraced the role of Hospital Administrator, taking on the responsibility of supporting our third location's build-out and operations. With three practices under the umbrella, maintaining consistency and alignment became a priority. To streamline their processes and keep our teams connected, she adopted the Traction EOS model, ensuring everyone is moving in the same direction toward our shared goals.
