Enforcing a limit on the amount of unpaid leave taken

Does anyone stipulate in their policy manual that employees are limited when it comes to the amount of unpaid leave that they are allowed to take? We find that we have a lot of staff taking unpaid leave. If you do, then do you differentiate between part and full timers? We recently had a part timer take 2 weeks unpaid leave and I know she would be very upset if we now told her that she could only take 1 week per year. I would love to hear how other practices manage this.

I also agree, this is something that is coming up for us as well. Especially if others keep asking and receiving unpaid leave, at what point is it too much? I would like to here what others are doing as well.
