Laura Camacho Ph.D.

Laura Mixon Camacho founded Mixonian Institute in 2009 to rid the business world of boring, redundant and self-defeating communication (she has a lot of work to do!). Mixonian Institute training programs are for leaders who want more impact and influence in order to improve outcomes for our companies and communities.

Through her expertise, creative research and sense of humor, she is shaking up the traditional approach to teaching communication skills. She can show anyone how to share their message effectively with creativity, class and confidence.

Her articles are regularly published by several business publications, including Forbes.com, The Southern C, Lionesses of Africa and now Training Industry.

Member of the Forbes Council of Coaches, Dr. Camacho was also named by The Moultrie News as a “Leading Woman in Business,” and has been praised for “doing an amazing job of connecting ‘soft skills’ involving the head, the heart, with the nitty gritty technical, logical, analytical workplace we work in.

Her career highlights include facilitating The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People for the Stephen Covey Group in Caracas (in Spanish,) being editor of the bilingual management newsletter, Management Perspective and a writer for Business Venezuela, the publication of the Venezuelan-American Chamber of Commerce. She has a Ph.D. in Communication Studies, specializing in political rhetoric, and an MBA. For 10 years she taught at East Carolina University and College of Charleston. She is an active board member of Charleston International Music School and a member of Charleston Digital Corridor.

Timothy A. Davis

Tim concentrates his practice on labor and employment law in the exclusive representation of management. In this capacity he is recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as a “Top Ranked Labor & Employment Lawyer,” by Ingram’s as a “Best Lawyer”, and by LRI as one of the “Top Labor Lawyers in America.” He advises and defends clients on all aspects of the employer/employee relationship with special focus on labor relations/union avoidance.

Tim is also active in the human resources community as a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and former President of SHRM-KC. He has been invited to speak at the National SHRM convention on labor relations topics the past nine years and also regularly speaks for state and local SHRM and other professional and business associations.


Kenneth B. Moore, ICP-ACC, ICP-ATF, CSM

Kenneth B. Moore

Ken Moore is thought leader and innovator in agility, coaching, and software solutions. He is passionate about supporting and coaching individuals to achieve their full potential. Ken is professionally certified in Facilitation, Coaching, and Agile practices. He earned his degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration. He
has been coaching, teaching, and leading diverse teams for over two decades.

Ken draws insights from his breadth of professional experience in both the public and private sectors. His leadership and consulting roles have included: Agile Coach in the aerospace industry, Group Manager developing software in the telecommunications industry, Operations and Training Specialist for the U.S. Department of Defense, Platoon Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He has experience presenting to 150 participants, facilitating interactive workshops for teams and groups ranging from 5 to 75, as well as coaching at the individual level.

Ken’s most recent work has focused on consulting for teams responsible for accessibility for service animals within the airline industry, facilitating strategic planning sessions for the Women In Leadership Executive Group, conducting multi-day workshops on facilitating effective meetings to increase productivity, consulting on effective organizational transformation and change management, training leadership teams on business agility: making work visible, focusing on getting the results and value that meet the needs of the individual and organization, creating an environment for continuous improvement, and empowering individuals and teams.
