Advancing Veterinary Hospital Managers and Transforming Practices Together
As January arrives, we are greeted with the promise of fresh beginnings and new opportunities to elevate our profession. The start of a new year is a time to reflect on our achievements and set ambitious goals, both personally and as a community of veterinary hospital managers. It's also the ideal moment to reaffirm our commitment to driving excellence in our practices and supporting our teams.
This year, the Veterinary Hospital Manager's Association (VHMA) is proud to unveil its dynamic strategic plan, designed to advance managers and transform veterinary practices nationwide. The plan focuses on empowering managers with resources, education, and networking opportunities, equipping them to lead their teams through change and innovation. Our goal is clear: to foster environments where every manager and team member can thrive, contribute meaningfully, and shape the future of veterinary medicine.
I am deeply honored and excited to serve as VHMA President for the 2026-2027 term. This role is a privilege, and I am committed to championing the needs of hospital managers while promoting our strategic initiatives. Working alongside our talented board and dedicated staff, I look forward to amplifying managers' voices and ensuring they have the support and recognition they deserve across every aspect of our profession.
The professionalism, enthusiasm, and tireless effort of the VHMA staff, volunteers, and board members are the backbone of our association. Their work happens year-round, not only in planning and advocacy, but also in developing programs and resources that respond to the evolving needs of our members. Together, we are united by a shared vision and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Collaboration with industry partners remains a cornerstone of our strategy. It is essential that managers and their teams are included in decision-making processes and program development. By fostering strong partnerships, VHMA ensures that our members are represented and have a seat at the table when it comes to shaping the future of veterinary care. Our advocacy extends to promoting the team-based veterinary profession and celebrating the unique contributions of every team member.
The first quarter of the year is always a busy time, filled with opportunities to represent VHMA and advance our strategic initiatives. As President, I look forward to engaging with members, industry leaders, and partners to set the stage for another year of growth and achievement. Stay tuned for updates on our priorities and programs—2026 promises to be an exciting year for all VHMA members.
