The recognition week is a time to highlight and celebrate practice management professionals and their role within the veterinary settings they manage.
It’s no coincidence that November symbolizes a month of gratitude. The Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA) extends its gratitude to its membership base of 5,000+ veterinary practice managers and designates Practice Manager Recognition Week (Nov 10-16) as an ideal time to highlight and celebrate the invaluable contributions practice managers bring to the veterinary hospitals they serve.
In their leadership roles, practice managers are often the unsung heroes who empower veterinary medical providers to devote their focus to patient treatment and outcomes. They achieve this by managing human resources, practice finances, marketing, organizational issues, customer relations and much more.
For Practice Manager Recognition Week, VHMA will provide veterinary practices with ideas and social media content that can be used to show managers how important they are within their veterinary practices. VHMA will also promote this important week on social media and invite practice managers to celebrate themselves by practicing self-care. A blog on how managers support practice culture drives home how important they are to the overall work climate of a veterinary practice.
Practice managers possess decision-making responsibilities over most business aspects of the veterinary practice or hospital. They are leaders who go the extra mile to ensure daily operations run smoothly and team members, clients, and patients feel supported.
“VHMA is happy to continue the tradition of honoring practice managers’ hard work and dedication by dedicating a week to exclusively highlight these exceptional individuals and contributions to their practices,” said Christine Shupe, CAE, VHMA executive director.
