Why Attend the Job Fair?
Demand for veterinary professionals has skyrocketed in recent years. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports that between 2016 and 2026, veterinary occupations are expected to add 51,700 new jobs and grow at a rate of 19%---almost three times faster than the growth projected for all occupations. Consequently, practices nationwide are being impacted and are struggling to recruit and retain employees to meet their staffing needs.
The Job Fair is scheduled immediately after the Membership Meeting Thursday evening. All conference attendees will be encouraged to attend and will be provided with a free drink ticket. A cash bar will also be available.
